About Me – My Travel Adventure Begins!
Hello and welcome to my travel blog! If you’d told me a few years ago that I’d be backpacking around the world, I would have laughed – but here I am, embracing adventure and discovering new horizons!
For most of my life, travel took a backseat. I spent my career in education, never took a gap year, and my first real trip abroad was my honeymoon! After that, my travels consisted of package holidays to Greece and Turkey, a safari in Africa just before having kids, and family-friendly getaways in the UK (Center Parcs, anyone?). With my sister living in Australia, I made a few trips down under, but my real wanderlust didn’t kick in until later in life. It was during our final family cruises around the Mediterranean that I realized – I wanted to see more of the world!
Then, 2023 changed everything. After nearly 30 years of marriage, I went through a divorce and found myself at a crossroads. But life has a funny way of bringing unexpected surprises. Through social media, I reconnected with my first boyfriend from when I was 15 – a seasoned traveler with a passion for exploration. Inspired by his adventures, I took a leap of faith, packed my backpack, and set off to explore the world with him. And let me tell you – it’s the best decision I’ve ever made!
Over the past year, I’ve wandered through Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and so many more incredible places. Travel has become my passion, and now, I can’t imagine stopping!
